Pack design

Choosing a pouch format before you buy the machine

Consider pack shape, film, tooling and presentation before confirming the machine configuration.

Decide what the pack must do.

Start with fill quantity, product protection, how the pack will be displayed and how it will fit into a carton. Pillow, gusseted, sachet, stick and quattro formats give you different shapes and presentation options.

Check the format against the machine.

Pouch shape depends on forming and sealing tooling, as well as the bagger configuration. A format shown in the catalogue is an option to discuss. Confirm pack dimensions and tooling in the technical offer.

Bring the film to the trial.

Share the intended film, printed artwork or registration requirements, and the finished pack size. Review filled-pack shape, seal quality and repeatability before committing to production quantities of packaging material.

Bring your product into the decision.

Share a sample, pack dimensions, target quantity and output. The trial and approved technical offer confirm the machine configuration.
